Akhirnya penghargaan Golden Globe Awards yang ke-78 digelar pada 28 Februari 2021, setelah hampir tertunda selama 2 bulan. Penghargaan ini memiliki 25 nominasi dan disiarkan langsung dari NBC TV pada pukul 5 sore waktu Amerika Serikat.
Acara ini dipandu oleh Amy Poehler dan Tina Fey dari tempat yang berbeda. Amy membawakan acaranya dari The Beverly Hilton, California, sedangkan Tina membawakannya dari Rainbow Room, New York.
