Billboard Music Awards 2021 telah tuntas digelar di Microsoft Theatre pada hari ini, Senin (24/5/2021) pagi waktu Indonesia atau pada Minggu 23 Mei 2021 waktu AS. Acara itu dipandu Nick Jonas dan diselanggarakan di Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles. Di deretan pemenang, nama The Weeknd paling bersinar karna menjadi peraih penghargaan terbanyak dalam ajang Billboard Music Awards 2021 dengan memenangkan 10 penghargaan, termasuk Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Radio Song Artist, dan lainnya.

Penyanyi solo lainnya Taylor Swift juga memenangkan beberapa kategori bergengsi, di antaranya Top Female Artist serta Top Billboard 200 Artist. Sementara, Boyband Korea Selatan BTS sabet semua penghargaan dari nominasi yang mereka ikuti, sekaligus mencetak rekor personal. Tahun ini, mereka untuk pertama kalinya memenangkan Top Song Sales Artist dan Top Selling Song dengan single berbahasa Inggris pertamanya, Dynamite.

Sementara itu, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, dan Jungkook untuk kedua kalinya memenangkan kategori Top Duo/Group setelah Billboard Music Awards 2019, serta menjadi pemenang kategori Top Social Artist lima tahun berturut-turut.
